Red Carpet Inn - Windom

We enjoyed our stay, especially with the spacious room accommodating our family and pets. The kids loved the TV. Plus, the convenience of having a microwave and fridge made it easy to handle snacks and meals.

My kids wished for a larger breakfast selection.

Overall it was cheap and incredibly comfortable, with a private bathroom.

The room was dingy.

There were central heating, a microwave and a refrigerator in the room, truly enjoyed that. The hotel was in a favourable location, down the breakfast area. The staff was good and helped with the free parking.

Comfortable room with decent WiFi, but loud road noise disrupted my sleep.

Location, close to pizza restaurant, gas station, lauundromat and car wash. I'm not living in the us of a but in nl.

Check-out time was 11.00. Between 09.00 and 10.30 the house keeping opened our room door twice to "oh you are still there". All the breakfast jelly was dryed out. We used our own jelly. The bread was dry.

The Double Room with Two Double Beds was pretty spacious, but the carpet was filthy and had a bad odor everywhere. I was surprised to find the fridge unplugged, and the bathroom fan was super loud. Thankfully, the WiFi worked fine was nice. Just a heads up-breakfast was really basic, just a few cereals and some stale pastries. Definitely needs some updates and a good cleaning!

Our room was spacious, with a refrigerator and a microwave, convenient for keeping snacks and drinks. The WiFi connection was strong, allowing me to tackle some work during our downtime. The complimentary toiletries in the private bathroom were a nice touch as well.

The breakfast selection was limited, lacking fresh fruit.

Convenient and budget friendly

Many items in the hotel were worn and needed replacing. The lobby tables had no finish left on them. The lampshades were worn as well as most everything else. The place really really smelled like smoke even though we had a no smoking room. The hallways were very smokey smelling. The bathroom wasn't the cleanest. The shower had alot of mold that could have easily been taken care of with clorox.

Don't advertise breakfast included when all they have is coffee (no decaf), questionable rolls, toaster waffles, no fruit or anything else. Continental breakfast at least would have been a clue to the lack of what others provide when they say they include breakfast.

Price

Our first room had a backup up shower drain, so we were moved to across the hall. That room had a squeaky bathroom door (you would wake someone up in the middle of the night), the bedside light didn't work and the tv remote let you switch channels but not control the volume. We arrived around 10 P.M. so we just didn't have the energy to complain. The 'breakfast' at 7 A.M. had 6 rolls, 2 pieces of bread, and 2 freezer waffles.
